In the heart of Indiana’s agricultural landscape, a new landmark of modern farming and construction excellence now stands. The Hamstra Group Inc. is proud to announce the successful completion of a massive, state-of-the-art freestall barn at Curtis Creek Dairy, part of Fair Oaks Farm, in Jasper County. This 392,000-square-foot facility, which will house 3,500 dairy cattle, represents not only a significant expansion for one of the region’s premier dairy operations, but also a testament to the Hamstra team’s capabilities in managing complex, large-scale agricultural construction with precision, innovation, and respect for ongoing operations.
This project was undertaken for an owner with a profound legacy in American agriculture. Curtis Creek Dairy is a nationally-recognized leader in sustainable dairy and agritourism. Renowned for its commitment to animal welfare, innovation, and consumer education, Curtis Creek operates with a vision that balances large-scale production with transparency and environmental stewardship.
The new barn is not the first collaboration between Hamstra and Curtis Creek. It builds upon a foundation of trust and proven performance established back in 2020, when Hamstra constructed a 116,000-square-foot facility to house Fair Oaks Farms’ entire robotic milking line.
